Europa League gets Major Boost

The Europa League generally does not receive as much love and appreciation than what their neighbor competition, the Champions League receives as it’s considered to be a competition where clubs of lesser quality compete in. However, on February 19 there was a match that occurred between Celtic and Inter Milan which could have changed things around as more viewers will want to watch the Europa League in this season.

Celtic and Inter Milan battled it out in the 1rst leg of their Europa League match at the Celtic Park in a game that finished with a final scoreboard of 3-3 in what was an enthralling match from start till the very end.

XherdanShaqiri and Rodrigo Palacio gave Inter Milan the early lead as they turned the scoreboard 2-0 after only 13 minutes into the match. Celtic answered back and tied the match 2-2 thanks to a goal from Stuart Armstrong and an own goal from the defender of Inter Milan Hugo Campagnaro.

Rodrigo Palacio scored the last goal of the first half as he found the back of the net just before the first part of the match reached it’s end.

Celtic responded once again but this time through John Guidetti as he equalized the match one last time during the last few moments of the game.

Everything will now be decided in the home turf of Inter Milan at San Siro in a match that promises to be even better as each side will have to give it all on the pitch in order to secure their ticket into the next stages of the European competition which is turning out to be as exciting as ever.

Last year, Celtic faced off with Ac.Milan in the Champions League and lost 3-0 but the Scottish side appear to be more motivated and are demonstrating their eagerness on competing and making it through the next rounds of the Europa League.
