Deila knows managerial position is at risk
Celtic are the favorites on not only winning the Scottish league but also on lifting the Cup as well but the pressure is on Ronny Deila to make it happen as the responsibility of pulling this off is lying on his shoulders.
The Scottish Premiership league is reaching it’s final stages with only 2 months remaining before the champions will be selected and Celtic are still positioned at the top after having collected 68 points from 28 matches but recent results have added extra pressure to Ronny Deila.
Ronny Deila and his team dropped points after facing off with Dundee and Hamilton Academicals in their latest league matches with both of these games resulting in draws. These results have allowed Aberdeen on closing the gap between themselves and the table toppers Celtic.
The 40 year old Norwegian manager knows that he can’t afford to drop any further points in the league as this can be the difference between securing the league title or falling short and not winning it. If Celtic does not manage to win the Scottish Premiership title then Ronny Deila will be in a huge risk of getting sacked and he knows it.
"I don’t fear anything but I’m aware of the situation and that it’s critical. No one more than me feels that, but I believe I can change it and make it right and that’s what I’m working towards every day." Celtic’s Ronny Deila said as he knows that he is currently in a crucial position.
The players of Ronny Deila have been making lacklustre performances and this was evidenced recently after only being able to collect draws against clubs that are located in the bottom spots of the Scottish Premiership, Dundee and Hamilton Academical.
Though the draws are always shocking, Celtic are still clear favouries and continue to be backed to win the title by fans - a bit like when you back the favourite at StanJames, and even though it is struggling with a furlong to go, you still expect it to win at the post!
Deila is hoping that his team can get back on track and start collecting wins with less 6 league matches remaining, every win and every point collected can be decisive.
