Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Celtic will not be jetting across the world for the pre-season tour.

As one of the most successful clubs in Scotland, Celtic are always regarded as a favourite when it comes to international tournaments. The popularity is especially on high after this stellar campaign, which has seen the club open up a 24 point advantage over second placed Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier league. Celtic are not only favourites to win the Premier league by a long distance, but they also remain on course for the Scottish Cup.

Craig Gordon of Celtic FC was one of the players of the Scottish club that was rumored to be making his way out of Celtic Park as the Premier League outfit Chelsea was interested in signing the 34 year old shot-stopper but now that the winter transfer window has reached it’s end, a transfer was never actually completed.

Chelsea launched an offer for the veteran goal-keeper in the final few days of the winter transfer window but Celtic FC rejected the offer and it was later believed that Chelsea was going to deliver an improved offer but it never happened.

Celtic captain Scott Brown says that the appliance of science and technology has helped the club elevate themselves to the next level under Brendan Rodgers.

The arrival of the Northern Irishman in the summer has brought about a sea change at Celtic in terms of results and performances on the pitch. The club failed to perform in European matches under Ronny Deila, and they were not hugely impressive in the domestic league.

One of the biggest disappointments for Celtic this season was the 2-2 draw against Inverness earlier in the campaign.

If it not was for this result, the Scottish outfit would have had a perfect record of 10 wins out of 10 games. One would assume that manager Brendan Rodgers has managed to get over this result considering that it was more than two months ago.

Jackson Irvine has called out to Tom Rogic, naming him the Celtic boss go-to man at the club.

Irvine, who once featured for Celtic, without breaking through for almost five years, has applauded the arrival of Rodgers at the club, saying it was all Rogic needed to soar to greater heights.

English Premier League club Arsenal have joined top sides Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to scout Celtic’s Moussa Dembele as the 20-year old Frenchman grabbed a brace in the 3-3 thriller with Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.

Dembele has attracted the interests of top clubs in Europe for his displays. The clubs are poised to make a move for the ex-Fulham player in the January transfer window, reports say. Arsenal were linked with a move for the player during the summer, along with Tottenham Hotspurs. However, the player and his agent settled for Celtic.

Coach Brendan Rodgers has already declared his interest in retaining the player despite the building attention he is garnering.

Scott Allan became a big fan of Brendan Rodgers in only one and half months he had with him at Celtic.

As per Allan, he already got more from Rodgers in that little time than what he had got from Ronny Deila during his entire reign.

After claiming an aggregate victory of 5-4 against HapoelBe’erSheva, Celtic FC just barely managed to secure a spot in the group stages of the Champions League which is something that they had not been able to do for the past few seasons.

Celtic was pitted in group C of the current season of the Champions League and this group consists of: Barcelona, Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach. These are all of the opponents that Brendan Rodgers and his squad will be facing off as they fight for a top spot that would allow them to advance into the knockout phase of the European competition.

Summer signing Moussa Dembele showed his worth to the Celtic team by scoring an injury time that sent the club into the last round of the Champions League qualification.

Doing well in Europe is one of the main priorities for a new manager Brendan Rodgers, who has already revamped several aspects of the squad. Following a shock 1-1 draw with minnows Astana from Kazakhstan in the first leg, there was a danger of Celtic not even being able to reach the group stages of the competition. This would have been a major embarrassment for Rodgers especially in a campaign where they will be up against archrivals Rangers once again.

Ever since Brendan Rodgers was appointed as the manager of Celtic FC on May of 2016, the Scottish team has not appeared to be as dominant as they used to be with their former coach Ronny Deila.

This has become evident since the first competitive match that Celtic FC played under the tutelage of Brendan Rodgers as they faced off with Lincoln Red Imps in their first leg of their 2nd qualifying round of the 2016-17 Champions League and sustained a 0-1 defeat which is a very surprising and underwhelming result.
