Ronny Deila to leave Celtic at the end of the season
With the current Celtic manager announcing that he will leave Celtic at the end of the season, the club is left with the task of finding a suitable replacement.
There have been some media reports that Ryan Giggs might be a potential replacement for Deila, but so far there has been no confirmation from the former Manchester United player. However, it is believed that Giggs would want to wait for a decision from the Manchester United board about his future role at the club.
In fact, it will all depend on the new manager and whether he will accept Giggs as his assistant manager. Also, it is reported that Giggs might be interested in a more challenging role than being at Celtic where he is almost guaranteed of winning the title.
David Moyes is another manager that is being considered for the job. However, the latter seems not to be really interested in the job and instead told reporters that he will wait for the summer before taking a decision about his future. He said that he has very often been offered as favorites by bookmakers but did not take up the job in the end. But he did acknowledge that Celtic is a big club with a big fanbase and incredible support.
Neil Lennon is yet another manager that might be considered for the Celtic’s job. The former Celtic manager is keen to return to Celtic after leaving Bolton. When asked about the job, Lennon said that he would be interested in the job and that he had some beautiful moments with Celtic as both a player and a manager. He would want to experience this feeling again.
Whoever becomes the Celtic manager will have a major rebuilding work to do if Celtic is going to improve. And with Rangers back in the top league, the title itself may not be guaranteed next season.
